  • No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics (e.g. Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel) or advertising SDKs.
  • No Network Requests: The app functions 100% offline without connecting to external servers.

2. Local Device Storage

All your session logs, mood scores, reminder schedules, and app settings are stored strictly on your local device via local storage (SharedPreferences). You have complete ownership of this data and can export or clear it anytime from the app’s settings.

3. Device Permissions Used

BreatheBox requests only the minimal permissions necessary for its mindfulness functions:

  • Vibrate: Used solely to provide tactile haptic pulses during phase transitions.
  • Wake Lock: Used to prevent your screen from sleeping during active breathing sessions.
  • Post Notifications: Used only to trigger your chosen local daily reminders on your device.

4. Children’s Privacy

Because BreatheBox does not collect any data, it complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
